Role: Lead UX/UI Designer & Project Coordinator
I managed and executed the design of a mobile application for Jungle Jim's, a vibrant, experience-focused grocery retailer. The project's goal was to enhance customer convenience and engagement by delivering an intuitive interface for shopping, promotions, store navigation, and unique brand interaction, seamlessly blending their unique 'jungle' aesthetic with high functionality.
As the lead designer, I utilized Figma to craft a user-friendly interface. My focus was on **usability and visual clarity** through clear hierarchy, intuitive navigation, and a visually appealing layout, ensuring users could effortlessly browse and shop while remaining immersed in the brand experience.
The app successfully integrated the distinctive Jungle Jim's brand identity with a high degree of functional design, resulting in a seamless and enjoyable customer experience that supports both operational logistics (navigation) and marketing initiatives (events/promotions). As the founding Creative Director for RLA Tech Solutions, a startup subsidiary to Red Leonard Associates, I established and led the company's creative department. My responsibilities included defining the brand's visual identity, managing a team of designers and video producers, and providing creative direction on all client projects and internal product development.
I was instrumental in building a respected creative division that played a key role in RLA Tech Solutions' growth. The creative direction and high-quality work, particularly for major clients like the museum exhibits, served as powerful examples of our capabilities and helped secure the company's reputation as a versatile and innovative technology partner.
Role: Creative Project Manager
I managed the development and rollout of an advanced 3D rendered virtual tour application designed to expedite the challenging site permitting process for high-volume retail fuel clients, including Sheetz, Wawa, 7-Eleven, and Circle K. The core objective was to create a dynamic, interactive tool that visually and accurately resolved issues related to local zoning requirements, particularly around light pollution and site aesthetics, by integrating complex technical data into an intuitive, navigable 3D environment.
The implementation of this scalable interactive visualization solution dramatically streamlined the site permitting and community engagement process for our clients. By providing proactive transparency and clarity on site compliance and visual impact, this project significantly reduced the time and cost associated with obtaining challenging zoning approvals. The consistent adoption by major industry players like Sheetz validated the framework's effectiveness as a critical tool for modern c-store development planning and regulatory navigation.
